R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, Sarah Gomez has ably served her fellow Texans as an |
|
|
intern in the office of State Representative Tomas Uresti during |
|
|
the 85th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Gomez has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
|
service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Juan Angel and Elizabeth Gomez, |
|
|
Ms. Gomez was born in Houston and spent her early years in Monclova, |
|
|
Mexico; after moving to Laredo with her family in 2004, she |
|
|
graduated from United High School and went on to receive a |
|
|
bachelor's degree in biology from The University of Texas at |
|
|
Austin; her career goals include earning a medical degree and a |
|
|
doctorate in developmental biology; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
|
duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Sarah Gomez for her service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Tomas |
|
|
Uresti and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Gomez as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
