R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Sarah Gomez has ably served her fellow Texans as an
  intern in the office of State Representative Tomas Uresti during
  the 85th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Gomez has provided
  vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
  in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
  service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the
  issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Juan Angel and Elizabeth Gomez,
  Ms. Gomez was born in Houston and spent her early years in Monclova,
  Mexico; after moving to Laredo with her family in 2004, she
  graduated from United High School and went on to receive a
  bachelor's degree in biology from The University of Texas at
  Austin; her career goals include earning a medical degree and a
  doctorate in developmental biology; and
         WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
  duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is
  indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Sarah Gomez for her service as a
  legislative intern in the office of State Representative Tomas
  Uresti and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
  in all her endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Gomez as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
