A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to compensation of certain district judges for performing |
|
|
extrajudicial services. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 659.012, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|
|
(c) For purposes of Subsection (a)(1), the combined salary |
|
|
of a district judge serving in any county with a population of |
|
|
750,000 or more does not include compensation for performing |
|
|
extrajudicial services. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
