A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to notice of facility fees charged by freestanding |
|
|
emergency medical care facilities. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 241.252, Health and Safety Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Subsection (c-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(c-1) The notice posted as required by Subsection (c)(1) |
|
|
must be on a sign that: |
|
|
(1) includes the information required by Subsection |
|
|
(b) in both English and Spanish; |
|
|
(2) appears in contrasting colors with block letters |
|
|
at least one inch in height; and |
|
|
(3) is displayed in a conspicuous manner clearly |
|
|
visible to the public. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 254.155, Health and Safety Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(b-1) The notice posted as required by Subsection (b)(1) |
|
|
must be on a sign that: |
|
|
(1) includes the information required by Subsection |
|
|
(a) in both English and Spanish; |
|
|
(2) appears in contrasting colors with block letters |
|
|
at least one inch in height; and |
|
|
(3) is displayed in a conspicuous manner clearly |
|
|
visible to the public. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
