A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the authority of a state agency to impose continuing |
|
|
education requirements on an occupational license holder. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 57, Occupations Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Section 57.003 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 57.003. CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS. |
|
|
Notwithstanding any other law, a state agency may not impose |
|
|
continuing education requirements on a license holder unless the |
|
|
agency is responsible for issuing the license. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
