A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the authority of a state agency to impose continuing
  education requirements on an occupational license holder.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Chapter 57, Occupations Code, is amended by
  adding Section 57.003 to read as follows:
         Sec. 57.003.  CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS.
  Notwithstanding any other law, a state agency may not impose
  continuing education requirements on a license holder unless the
  agency is responsible for issuing the license.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
