SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 77
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Roberto Mendoza
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
  of Laredo in mourning the loss of Roberto Mendoza, who died on
  January 15, 2017; and
         WHEREAS, Roberto Mendoza was born in Islitas to Pascual and
  Julia Fuentes Mendoza; he was raised in Laredo, and he attended
  Martin High School; and
         WHEREAS, For 26 years, Mr. Mendoza was dedicated to his
  work as a custodian for the Laredo Independent School District;
  he was well known for his hard work and for his outgoing and
  charismatic personality; and
         WHEREAS, He was devoted to his loving wife, Juana Castillo
  Mendoza, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage, and was blessed
  with two sons, Roberto Mendoza Jr. and Jesus Mendoza, two daughters,
  Alicia Mendoza and Juanita Mendoza, and six grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he gave
  unselfishly to others and was beloved for his affable nature, his
  generous spirit, and his enthusiasm for living each day to the
  fullest; he leaves behind memories that will be treasured by his
  family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Roberto Mendoza; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Roberto Mendoza.
