SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 99
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Leona Horn
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their
  memories of Leona Horn of Mineola, who passed away on July 17,
  2016, at the age of 93; and
 
         WHEREAS, The beloved daughter of Elisha and Vadie Whatley,
  the former Leona Whatley was born on October 16, 1922, in
  Hallsville; and
 
         WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan married Harvey Horn, and the
  couple became the proud parents of two children, Harvey and
  Patsy; with the passing years, Mrs. Horn had the pleasure of
  seeing her family grow to include two grandchildren, Derek and
  Jason, and five great-grandchildren, Alexis, Lorelei, Jordan,
  Caroline, and Blake; and
 
         WHEREAS, Sustained by a deep and abiding faith, Mrs. Horn
  was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church of Lindale; and
 
         WHEREAS, Leona Horn enjoyed a life that was rich in the
  intangibles that matter most, and she is deeply missed by all
  those who held her dear; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Leona Horn and
  extend deepest condolences to her family and friends; and, be
  it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this day, it do
  so in memory of Leona Horn.
