SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 150
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Joseph Borowski Jr.
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
  commemorates the life of Joseph Borowski Jr., who died on January
  17, 2017, at the age of 63; and
         WHEREAS, Joe Borowski was born on September 2, 1953, in
  Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; after graduation, he served the nation
  in the United States Navy; and
         WHEREAS, After his military service, he settled near Lake
  Travis, where he met his beloved wife of 35 years, Amy; they were
  blessed with two sons, Dusty and Jake, who were a source of much
  pride and joy; he took great pleasure in sharing with his sons his
  love of sports and in coaching their various teams as they were
  growing up; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Borowski worked in a variety of professions
  before entering into public service in 1989 as a staff member with
  the Texas Legislative Council; for more than 20 years he served
  at the council with distinction and dedication to duty; and
         WHEREAS, He was an avid golfer and a staunch Pittsburgh
  Steelers fan; one of the highlights of his sporting life was
  qualifying to represent the Clubs of Lakeway in a golf tournament
  at Pinehurst; and
         WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he gave
  unselfishly to others, and his generous spirit, his love of the
  Texas Hill Country, and his enthusiasm for living each day to the
  fullest will not be forgotten by those who were privileged to
  share in his life; and
         WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband and father, and he leaves
  behind memories that will be treasured forever by his family and
  countless friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Joseph Borowski Jr.; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Joseph Borowski Jr.
