SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 299
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Daphene Gimble Caudle
 
         WHEREAS, A caring and purposeful life drew to a close with
  the passing of Daphene Gimble Caudle of Lindale on
  January 28, 2017, at the age of 90; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Paul and Dollie Gimble, the former
  Daphene Gimble was born on July 29, 1926, in New Harmony; a
  lifelong resident of Smith County, she lived in Lindale for most
  of her life and was an engaged member of the community; she
  enjoyed a successful career with Lindale State Bank, which she
  helped lead in her roles as head cashier and vice president; she
  also served as secretary and treasurer of the family business,
  Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors, for many years; and
         WHEREAS, Sustained by a deep and abiding faith,
  Mrs. Caudle was a valued member of the Lindale First Baptist
  Church and of the Naomi Winsome Sunday School Class; and
         WHEREAS, She and her husband, Ed Caudle, were the parents
  of three children, Michael, Janet, and June; as the years passed,
  Mrs. Caudle had the pleasure of seeing her family grow to include
  four grandchildren, Gregory, Allison, Cory, and Angela, four
  great-grandchildren, Caleb, Connor, Chaye, and Matthew, and a
  great-great-granddaughter, Lexi; and
         WHEREAS, Daphene Caudle touched countless lives with her
  kindness, her generosity of spirit, and her ever-present smile,
  and all those who were fortunate enough to know her will forever
  hold her close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Daphene Gimble
  Caudle and extend sincere condolences to her relatives and
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this day, it do
  so in memory of Daphene Caudle.
