Donald Blair Lang Jr. |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and |
|
|
commemorates the life of Donald Blair Lang Jr., who died |
|
|
August 17, 2016, at the age of 39; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Blair Lang was born January 28, 1977, in Houston, |
|
|
to Donald Blair Lang and Lisa Smith Williamson; he was a graduate |
|
|
of Texas Tech University; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, He began his professional career in the banking |
|
|
industry at Plains Capital Bank before entering the field of |
|
|
commercial real estate with Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, where he |
|
|
enjoyed great success and the respect of his colleagues and |
|
|
clients; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, He and his beloved wife, Katherine Biggs Lang, |
|
|
enjoyed 10 years of marriage together; they were blessed with two |
|
|
daughters, Bea and Stella, who were a source of much pride and joy |
|
|
for him; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A devout Christian who practiced his faith in his |
|
|
daily life, Mr. Lang served his church in the children's ministry |
|
|
alongside Katherine; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, |
|
|
Mr. Lang took great pleasure in the company of his friends and |
|
|
family, and his generous spirit and enthusiasm for living each |
|
|
day to the fullest will not be forgotten by those who were |
|
|
privileged to share in his life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband and father, and he leaves |
|
|
behind memories that will be cherished forever by his family and |
|
|
countless friends; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|
|
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|
|
family of Donald Blair Lang Jr.; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
|
Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
|
memory of Donald Blair Lang Jr. |
