SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 513
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  welcome the members of the first class of Regional Advantage, the
  leadership program of the Northwest Metroport Chamber of
  Commerce, on the occasion of their visit to the Capitol on
  March 29, 2017; and
 
         WHEREAS, The Northwest Metroport Chamber of Commerce has
  developed this outstanding program to help aspiring leaders
  develop the skills they need to make their community a better
  place to live; and
 
         WHEREAS, Participants in the program develop leadership
  skills by collaborating on issues that affect the region and by
  building key relationships with experienced civic leaders and
  policy makers; they join the ranks of other leadership groups in
  Texas that enhance the entrepreneurial, cultural, and governmental
  capacities of our state; and
 
         WHEREAS, By working diligently to foster an engaged
  citizenry and to develop a new generation of leaders, Leadership
  Northwest Metroport is helping to build a brighter and more
  prosperous future for residents of the region; members of the
  first graduating class can indeed take pride in their exemplary
  contributions to their community; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, hereby commend the members of the first class of
  Regional Advantage--Leadership Northwest Metroport for their
  civic leadership and engagement and extend to them best wishes
  for a memorable visit to the Capitol; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
