SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 550

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to welcome the members of the Northwest Austin Republican Women to the Capitol for Texas Federation of Republican Women Day, which is being observed April 6, 2017; and

WHEREAS, The Northwest Austin Republican Women was founded in 1969 and is affiliated with the Texas Federation of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women; and

WHEREAS, The members of this impressive organization have contributed their time and talent to helping elect Republican Party candidates to office; in addition to their efforts to register voters and assist in local campaigns, they have contributed greatly to numerous community service projects; and

WHEREAS, Through the years, the members of the Northwest Austin Republican Women have been productive and influential voices in the electoral process, and it is truly fitting that they receive special recognition; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Northwest Austin Republican Women on their commitment to public service and extend to them best wishes for a rewarding Texas Federation of Republican Women Day; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the organization as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
