SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 567
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the Texas Office of Court Administration on the
  occasion of its 40th anniversary; and
         WHEREAS, Since its establishment in 1977, the Office of
  Court Administration has served as the central repository of
  statistical information for the Texas judicial system; from
  providing statistics about the salaries and demographics of
  judges to case filing and disposition records, the Office of
  Court Administration has been a source of vital information for
  the judiciary, the legislature, and the public for 40 years; and
         WHEREAS, The methods of collecting this information have
  evolved greatly to meet the changing demands of the times, and
  today, interested stakeholders can review online data from the
  almost 130,000 monthly reports submitted annually by Texas
  courts; and
         WHEREAS, The agency also serves as a resource to provide
  technical assistance, consultation, and research for the courts,
  and it assists the Texas Legislature and Supreme Court with
  staffing for boards, commissions, and task forces; and
         WHEREAS, The vast majority of judicial work relies heavily
  on professional court administration, and the Office of Court
  Administration will continue to play an integral role in the
  efficient and effective operation of the state's justice system
  long into the future; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, hereby commend all associated with the Texas Office
  of Court Administration for their crucial contributions to the
  Texas judiciary and to the public and extend to them
  congratulations on 40 years of success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the office as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
