SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 722
         WHEREAS, Dr. Craig Curry, the senior pastor of First
  Baptist Church of Plano, is serving as Pastor of the Day for the
  Texas Senate on May 4, 2017; and
 
         WHEREAS, Pastor Curry earned a bachelor's degree in
  behavioral science from Hardin-Simmons University, and he went
  on to receive a master of divinity degree from Logsdon Seminary
  and a doctor of ministry degree from George W. Truett Theological
  Seminary; he was licensed to the ministry in 1999 and ordained in
  2006; and
 
         WHEREAS, This respected clergyman began his career
  preaching at revivals, camps, and weekend events; over the years,
  he has served as a senior pastor at the First Baptist Churches in
  Cisco and Dripping Springs; he has ably led the congregation at
  First Baptist Church of Plano since May 2016; and
 
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Pastor Curry enjoys the love
  and support of his wife, Fallon, and their two children, Lylah
  and Shepherd; and
 
         WHEREAS, Dr. Craig Curry has inspired countless people
  with his message of faith and goodwill, and it is a pleasure to
  welcome him to this chamber; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, hereby honor Dr. Craig Curry for his service as
  Pastor of the Day and extend to him sincere best wishes for the
  future; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  Pastor Curry as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
