SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 759

|
Harrison Brown |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|
citizens of Graham in mourning the loss of Harrison Brown, who |
|
died May 1, 2017; and |
|
WHEREAS, Harrison Brown was an exemplary young man whose |
|
many achievements and great potential were an inspiration to all |
|
those who were privileged to share in his life; and |
|
WHEREAS, Harrison was a 2016 graduate of Graham High |
|
School, where he ran cross country, participated in one-act |
|
play, and played trumpet in the Rompin' Stompin' Big Blue Band; |
|
he was voted by his fellow students as class favorite, and the |
|
school's faculty named him Mr. GHS, the school's most |
|
outstanding student; and |
|
WHEREAS, He was a source of pride and joy for his parents, |
|
Kurt and Lori Brown, and a source of strength and comfort for his |
|
brother, John; and |
|
WHEREAS, The death of one so young is a great tragedy, for |
|
in the faces of the young we see the hope and promise of our |
|
future; Harrison's unique spirit, and the joy he brought to |
|
others, will continue to live well beyond his life; and |
|
WHEREAS, A devoted son and loving brother, he gave |
|
unselfishly to others, and his generous spirit, his boundless |
|
energy, and his enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest |
|
will not be forgotten by his family and countless friends; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|
family of Harrison Brown; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
memory of Harrison Brown. |
