SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 761

WHEREAS, When they married many years ago, Ferdinand and Laverne Tonn made a lifetime commitment to each other, and their mutual trust has been amply rewarded, for they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary; and

WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Tonn were married on April 28, 1957; the world has changed considerably in the years of their marriage, yet Ferdinand and Laverne have continued to cherish the traditional values that helped inspire their bond long ago; and

WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday living; and

WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Tonn have been blessed with a wonderful family, and above all things, they cherish time spent with their many friends and loved ones; and

WHEREAS, Ferdinand and Laverne are respected and admired throughout the community, and the loving relationship that they share is truly an inspiration to all who know them; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Tonn on their 60th wedding anniversary; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for them as a memento of this special day.
