SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 776
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Jacob Barker of Boy Scout Troop 405 in Georgetown for
  achieving the rank of Eagle Scout; this fine young man joined
  the elite corps of Eagles recently and is being presented the
  coveted Eagle Badge at a Court of Honor; and
 
         WHEREAS, Few achieve this distinguished honor; only a
  small percentage of boys in the Boy Scout program attain the rank
  of Eagle Scout; and
 
         WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and
  promise, Jacob advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second,
  First, Star, and Life classes before reaching Eagle Scout; and
 
         WHEREAS, This personable young man displayed leadership
  through planning, developing, and conducting a service project
  that benefited his community; he restored the memorial garden at
  Forbes Middle School, a project that took more than 200 hours to
  complete; he is truly a shining example to his fellow Scouts and
  the young people of Texas; and
 
         WHEREAS, By becoming an Eagle Scout, Jacob has brought
  great honor to himself, his family, his troop, his community, and
  his state; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, hereby commend Jacob Barker on receiving this
  prestigious honor and congratulate him on his outstanding
  achievement; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  Eagle Scout Barker as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
