SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 812
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Officer Chase Miller of the Granbury Police Department for
  his heroic action in saving the life of a three-year-old boy; and
 
         WHEREAS, While on patrol on the evening of October 12,
  2016, Officer Miller received a call about a young boy at a local
  restaurant who had stopped breathing; he arrived at the scene
  before paramedics and immediately began administering
  cardiopulmonary resuscitation to the child; and
 
         WHEREAS, After approximately two minutes of work by
  Officer Miller and the boy's father, the boy began to breathe
  again; he was later taken to a hospital, where he recovered fully
  from the ordeal; and
 
         WHEREAS, A four-year veteran of the Granbury Police
  Department, Officer Miller demonstrated quick thinking and
  decisive action in saving the life of this young Texan, and it is
  truly fitting that he receive special recognition for his heroic
  actions; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, hereby commend Officer Chase Miller on his
  outstanding work in saving the life of a young boy and extend to
  him best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and,
  be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
