SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 821

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Shayan Zahrooni of Austin on the occasion of his graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf; and

WHEREAS, Shayan's graduation is the culmination of diligent study in a curriculum designed to challenge him and broaden his knowledge; he is celebrating this milestone in commencement exercises on June 1, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Shayan can take pride in having earned his diploma from the Texas School for the Deaf; the school is respected in academic circles in Texas, as well as nationally, for its quality of instruction and dedication to excellence in teaching; and

WHEREAS, A talented and hardworking student, Shayan has enjoyed participating in numerous extracurricular activities since he enrolled in the school his 10th-grade year; he worked in the campus business office during his senior year in order to gain employment skills for the future; and

WHEREAS, Shayan can face the future with confidence that his proven abilities, learning skills, and acquired knowledge will hold him in good stead for whatever vocation he chooses; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th Legislature, hereby congratulate Shayan Zahrooni on his graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf and extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
