HB14 by Murr (Relating to the carrying of handguns by license holders on the property of state hospitals; providing a civil penalty.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code and Health and Safety Code to authorize a state hospital to prohibit handgun license holders from carrying a handgun on the state hospital property upon the public posting of written notification of the prohibition. The bill would also create civil penalties for a handgun license holder who carries a handgun on the property of a state hospital at which written notice of the prohibition is provided.  It is assumed any costs associated with implementing the provisions of this bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

This bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
