No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend various sections of the Penal Code and the Human Resources Code relating to exempting first responders from trespassing with a concealed or openly carried handgun if the first responder was carrying out their duties.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
