HB103 by Dutton (Relating to certain body cavity searches conducted by a peace officer.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure prohibiting a peace officer from performing a body cavity search unless the person is confined in or committed to a penal institution.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017. 

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
