HB134 by Dutton (Relating to a peace officer training advisory committee.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code to create a law enforcement officer training advisory committee. The committee would be required to study the training programs established and maintained by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, and would be required to report its study findings to the Legislature not later than December 1, 2018.  It is assumed any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
