No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Insurance Code to require that certain health benefit plans offer coverage for diagnostic mammography.
Based on the analysis of information provided by the Employees Retirement System, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing provisions of the bill could be accomplished within existing resources. The Teachers Retirement System, the University of Texas System, the Texas A&M University System, and the Department of Insurance indicate that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
