IN RE:
HB206 by Flynn (Relating to the Texas Veterans Land Board.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend statute to expand the definition of a veteran to include a person who has at least 15 years of active or reserve state military service as a member of the Texas State Guard. The General Land Office has indicated that the expanded definition would cover a small number of additional veterans, and thus the agency could implement the provisions of the bill using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
