No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would allow the use of compensatory education allotment funding to provide school counselors and counseling programs. The bill would have no direct fiscal implications for the Foundation School Program (FSP) or the operations of the Texas Education Agency (TEA).

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. School districts would
have the option to use compensatory education allotment funding on school guidance and
counseling programs.
