IN RE:
HB333 by Meyer (Relating to the prosecution of the offense of improper relationship between educator and student.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Penal Code to prohibit an improper relationship between any school employee serving in a capacity that requires a license regardless of whether the employee holds that license and any primary or secondary student enrolled in any public or private school.
This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill addressing felony sanctions for criminal offenses would not result in a significant impact on state correctional agencies.
The Office of Court Administration and the Texas Education Agency estimate there would be minimal costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
