No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to require the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) to notify a sentencing court regarding certain defendants placed on state jail felony community supervision. According to the Office of Court Administration and TDCJ, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2017 and apply only to a defendant who receives a sentence of confinement in a state jail on or after the effective date of the Act.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
