No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Under the bill, a governmental entity would no longer be required to accept or comply with a request for public information from a person whose primary residence was not in Texas. The governmental entity could determine a requestor's residency by asking the requestor for information about his or her primary residence. If the requestor failed to provide information about his or her primary residence within 10 business days, the governmental entity could treat the request as if the requestor's primary residence was not in Texas.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
