No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code relating to certain leave policies for state employees.

Based on information provided by the Texas Ethics Commission, Texas Board of Nursing, Health and Human Services Commission, Department of Agriculture, Department of Motor Vehicles, Department of Criminal Justice, Office of the Attorney General, Texas A&M University System, University of Texas System, and Comptroller of Public Accounts, this analysis assumes any additional work associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed using existing resources at state agencies and institutions of higher education.

The bill would take effect on September 1, 2017.
