No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code relating to certain leave policies for state employees.

Based on information provided by the Texas Ethics Commission, the Texas Board of Nursing, the Health and Human Services Commission, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Motor Vehicles, the Department of Criminal Justice, the Office of the Attorney General, and Texas A&M University System, this analysis assumes any additional work associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed using existing resources at state agencies and institutions of higher education.

The bill would take effect on September 1, 2017.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
