No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to permit district clerks to post official and legal notices by electronic display instead of posting a physical document.
This bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house. If the bill does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, it would take effect September 1, 2017.
Local Government Impact
Texas Association of Counties and the Justice of the Peace and Constables Association anticipate no fiscal impact to local government from the bill.
