No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code establishing a committee to adopt a plan to deal with mental illness in the juvenile justice system.

According to the Health and Human Services Commission and the Department of Family and Protective Services no significant fiscal impact from the bill is anticipated.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Association of Counties, Denton County does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact from the bill.
