HB714 by Wu (Relating to the civil prosecution of offenses involving certain municipal parking ordinances; authorizing a civil fine.), As Engrossed

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code relating to the authority of municipalities with a population of 1.9 million or more to establish an administrative adjudication hearing in which a civil fine may be imposed involving the parking of a motor vehicle in residential areas. 

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

Local Government Impact

According to the City of Houston, no fiscal impact to local government is anticipated from the provisions of the bill.
