No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code relating the authority of municipalities with a population of 1.9 million or more to create a presumption in a prosecution for certain offenses involving the parking of a motor vehicle in residential areas. 

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

Local Government Impact

According to the City of Houston, no fiscal impact to local government is anticipated from the provisions of the bill.
