This bill would amend the Labor Code relating to the prohibition of certain employment discrimination regarding an employee who is a volunteer emergency responder. Based on information provided by the Texas Workforce Commission and the Office of Court Administration, this analysis assumes the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
