The bill would amend Government Code relating to allowing certain individuals appointed by the governor to state office to file required financial statements by certified mail.
The Ethics Commission indicates that any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members of the house, otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
