No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code relating to leave for certain veterans returning to state employment. The Veterans Commission, the Comptroller of Public Accounts and the Department of Criminal Justice have indicated that any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
