No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to prohibit certain establishments serving the public from restricting a peace officer or special investigator from carrying a weapon on the premises even when the peace officer or special investigator is not actively engaged in their duties.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
