No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code relating to the mandatory spinal screening of public and private school students. The Department of State Health Services and the Health and Human Services Commission indicate that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
