No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to allow the disclosure of certain draft grant applications prepared by or for a state agency or governmental body with taxing authority, that are otherwise exempted from disclosure provisions related to certain interagency or interagency memoranda.

The Office of the Attorney General, Health and Human Services Commission, and the Office of Court Administration anticipate any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could reasonably be absorbed within current resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
