No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code relating to including on the jury wheel card the current phone number, if available, of a person qualified to be included in the jury selection process.
This analysis assumes any additional work associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed by the Secretary of State using existing resources.
The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, or on September 1, 2017.
