No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 2155 of the Government Code, regarding general rules and procedures for purchasing, by repealing Sections 2155.086 (procedures for awarding certain contracts) and 2155.087 (Statewide Procurement Advisory Council).

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

The Office of the Governor, the Texas Facilities Commission, the Department of Information Resources and the Comptroller of Public Accounts indicate that the bill would have no fiscal impact on the State.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
