No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Election code relating to the deadline for returning a ballot voted by mail. The bill would add that a ballot could arrive by 5 p.m. the day after election day if the carrier envelope was placed for delivery by mail or common or by contract carrier before election day.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
