No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Human Resource Code to change the application for Medicaid benefits to include certain information for pregnant applicants. The bill would take effect immediately upon a two-thirds vote from all members of each house or, if such a vote is not received, on September 1, 2017.

Based on Legislative Budget Board analysis of the provisions of this bill, duties and responsibilities associated with amending the application for Medicaid benefits could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
