No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Water Code by requiring a ground water conservation district to consider the aggregate acreage the retail public utility owns and the number of consumers inside the district and may subtract the permitted wells from the acreage.
Local Government Impact
According to the Red River Ground Water Conservation District and the Texas Association of Counties (TAC) no fiscal impact is anticipated to units of local government.
