No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure requiring local law enforcement on receiving a report of an attempted child abduction to provide, as soon as practicable, but no later than eight hours, a report to the clearinghouse.
The bill would repeal Article 63.009(a-3), Code of Criminal Procedure.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

According to the City of Austin no fiscal impact is anticipated from the provisions of the bill.
