No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code relating to the disclosure of interested parties by business entities contracting with governmental entities or state agencies. Based on information provided by the Ethics Commission, this analysis assumes that any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2017 and would apply to a contract for which applicable expressions of interest is made public on or after January 1, 2018.
