IN RE:
HB1725 by Hernandez (Relating to the exception to disclosure under the public information law of certain personal information contained in a citation issued for a violation of a state traffic law or local traffic ordinance.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to exempt certain information contained in a citation issued for violation of a state traffic law or local traffic ordinance from disclosure under public information law.

According to information provided by the Office of the Attorney General, Office of Court Administration, and the Department of Public Safety, this analysis assumes that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished utilizing existing agency resources.

The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds vote of all members elected to each house. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
