LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 14, 2017

TO:
Honorable Richard Peña Raymond, Chair, House Committee on Human Services

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB1768 by Muñoz, Jr. (Relating to care coordination under the Medicaid managed care program.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Health and Human Services Commission to streamline and clarify the
provision of care coordination benefits across Medicaid programs and services for recipients receiving benefits in a managed care delivery model. It is assumed that the costs to implement the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
