No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Civil Practices and Remedies Code allowing the declaration for mental health treatment to be signed by the principal and acknowledge before a notary public.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2017

According to the Texas Association of Counties (TAC), the fiscal impact to counties to implement the provisions of the bill is not anticipated to be significant.
